Studio Policy Overview

GENERAL POLICIES

  • Please arrive on time to class. Students arriving 10 minutes past the hour will not be allowed to join. 
  • All members must check in at the front desk before participating in any classes.
  • Schedule and instructors are subject to change.
  • Studio reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if needed. Advance notice will be given when possible.
  • Proper attire is required for Studio use. Dance shoes are strongly recommended, all other shoes are used at your discretion. No flip flops are allowed.
  • No smoking is allowed on property.
  • No food is allowed inside the studio.
  • Any beverage or water taken into the Studio must be in a non-breakable, spill-proof container.
  • For safety purposes, no person under the age of 18 years of age is allowed on the premises without the supervision of an adult.
  • Students and guests may not solicit business of any kind from other members or studio staff inside studio property.
  • No students or guests are allowed behind the front desk or “staff only” areas.
  • All signs posted in the studio shall be considered as part of the Studio’s policies and procedures.
  • No video recording is allowed while classes are in session.
  • Operating schedule will be subject to change with notice. We may be closed on holidays.

MEMBERSHIPS


Billing

  • Memberships are billed on the 1st of the month on a recurring basis.
  • Payment is required to maintain active enrollment in classes.
  • Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. We do not provide partial refunds for missed classes.
  • Pricing and class access are subject to change with notice.

Cancellations

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted via official cancelation form (not verbal) 5 days before the 1st of the month. 
  • Members may continue attending classes during the current month that is paid for.
  • No refunds are issued for partial months.

Holds (Freezes)

  • Members may place their membership on hold for any reason.
  • Holds must be requested in advance 5 days before the 1st of the month, via official freeze form.
  • Minimum hold: 1 month.
  • Maximum hold: 3 months per calendar year.

Missed Classes

  • Group classes are not refunded if missed. Students are responsible for making up the material on their own either through private lessons, or learning the material on their own in order to pass to the next level. 
  • Private lessons are not refunded if missed.

Payment Related Fees

  • Davie Latin Dance will not be responsible for any bank fees such as overdraft charge or insufficient funds charge.

PRIVATE LESSONS

  • Private lessons are 55 minutes long.
  • Private lessons must be scheduled and paid for in advance.
  • 24-hour cancellation policy required:
    • Cancel within 24 hours → lesson is forfeited
    • Cancel before 24 hours → lesson is refunded or rescheduled
  • No-shows are charged in full.
  • Late arrivals do not extend lesson time.

CODE OF CONDUCT

I understand that if I become loud, offensive, and/or bothersome to other studio members or staff, or otherwise, behave in an unbecoming manner, or if I do not adhere to the Studio policies and procedures, my membership privileges may be immediately revoked and I may thereafter be refused entry to the Studio. In the event of such revocation, I further understand that any unused portion of any advanced payment shall be forfeited by the Studio.

DAMAGES

I understand that I will be held responsible for any damage to Studio property and that I will have to pay for all such damage. I hereby authorize the Studio to withdraw from my account on file the cost of such damages (including replacement costs) after the Studio advises me of same and provides me with an invoice setting out the cost of repairing/replacing the damage.

LOST ARTICLES

I understand that the Studio assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen articles, and that articles left for more than 2 days will be donated to charity. I therefore understand that the Studio strongly recommends that I do not bring valuables to the Studio.

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any given time, with previous notice.
